Dear Santa

December 15, 2014

We're making a list and checking it twice!

Since December 1st we have been rocking out to good 'ol Christmas songs. It's amazing how many of the traditional songs the kids have learned in the past several weeks. Our current favorite to sing out-loud is Frosty the Snowman. Love it when Kylie starts to bust a move to this song. It's adorable!

The kids have been busy making Christmas crafts. Cotton balls were used to make Frosty the Snowman, construction paper to cut out Christmas trees, and Q-tips with paint to make ornaments on the Christmas tree. Though in hindsight the Q-tips were probably a bad choice. Kylie used the Q-tip she was painting with to both place ornaments on her tree and to clean her ears.

Never a dull moment in this house.

One of the latest crafts they finished was making a letter for Santa. Neither one of them actually know how to write or know what they want for Christmas, but it didn't stop them from writing a list. They bedazzled the list with markers, crayons, stickers, and included fringe. Not the typical list but a colorful one nonetheless which I'm sure Santa could appreciate. Once they were finished they placed it on the tree. I tried to explain to Ethan how Charlie (our elf) would take the list to Santa but Ethan was having none of that so the lists remain on the tree.

We will see how the react to seeing presents under the tree Christmas morning.
